About Me
I studied medicine at the University of Western Australia, receiving my medical degree with honours in 1998. After working for several years at Royal Perth Hospital, I moved to Victoria where I undertook specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at The Royal Women's Hospital and Geelong Hospital.
When I'm not working I enjoy spending time with my family, keeping fit, cooking and eating and studying French.
My Practice
My practice is based at the Epworth Freemasons Maternity Unit in East Melbourne. I deliver babies at Epworth Freemasons Hospital and St Vincent's Private Hospital. I perform gynaecological surgery at Epworth Freemasons Hospital. I have a public appointment at The Royal Women's Hospital where I am also involved in teaching students and trainees. I am interested in both high and low risk pregnancy and all aspects of general gynaecology, including colposcopy and laparoscopic surgery.
My Philosophy
I am committed to providing safe, high quality care to all my patients. I believe that good health care is collaborative and encourage my patients to ask questions and be involved in the decision making process. I seek to provide advice that is straightforward and easy to understand while being supported by current high quality evidence. It is my aim that my patients understand their situation and all the options available to them as fully as possible.
